Deputy President William Ruto has sent clear waves to ODM leader Raila Odinga cautioning him of any hopes in the 2022 presidential race.

Ruto said Raila’s hopes in the Building Bridges Initiative-BBI will tumble and he should get prepared for a tough 2022 presidential battle.

In his three day tour in the Coast region over the weekend, Ruto said the ‘Hustler’s nation’ is prepared to tackle any 2022 presidential opponent.

He lashed out at Raila saying the ‘Wheelbarrow mathematics’ is a very complex equation that should worry all their opponents.

“We are not lagging behind, the ‘wheelbarrow’ narrative means changing the economic model to a bottom-up approach,” said the DP.

Transforming lives

He said the ‘Hustler’s nation’ is aimed at empowering the low-income class so that they transform their own lives.

“I told you we are changing the narrative and here we are, everyone is talking about ‘wheelbarrow’ and ‘Hustlers nation,” he told Kisauni residents, in Mombasa.

Ruto lashed out at those trying to interfere with the hustlers versus dynasty politics saying they will not sail through the Kenyans new ‘wheelbarrow’ narrative.

“Those saying we are trying to divide the country and incite Kenyans are only wasting their time, we are relentlessly fighting for what rightfully belongs to Kenyans,” said Ruto.

The DP told off ODM leaders urging them to stop disturbing President Uhuru Kenyatta and work out on a plan to battle him during the 2022 presidential race.

“These people are clueless and lack any political plans that’s why they are heavily relying on the BBI, they will badly tumble,” reiterated Ruto.

Meanwhile, politicians allied to the DP have criticized security agencies for not according him the required security to DP Ruto’s forums.

They said Ruto deserves adequate security wherever he goes and especially when meeting the public in whichever part of the country.

They addressed the press in their Monday meeting at the DP’s official residence at Karen in Nairobi.
