Mombasa Women Representative Asha Hussein said that she is free to work with Deputy President William Ruto since he is a National leader but not on political realignment.

Asha famously known as ‘Ashuu’ by her supporters said that it was too early for Coast political leaders to transverse the region politicking about 2022, barely a year since they were elected.

The Mombasa County Representative said that Coast politicians were causing pain to the already marginalized Coastal community and that they should retract and work towards uplifting their living standards.

She noted that the political circle may drastically change and mesmerize many Coastal leaders before the general election period and that local leaders should never hold onto political factions.

“I can invite Deputy President William Ruto to grace any women or youth function in Mombasa but I will stick to my ODM party, he is a National leader and I am Mombasa County Women representative,” She said.

Asha revealed that in her ‘To do list’, 2022 politics was missing and was not her priority.

“How can a Coast politician declare who they will support in 2022 Presidential race while locals are suffering from acute poverty? It is purely detrimental and locals should wake up for a noble development course,” she lamented.

Asha distanced herself from any political realignment and inclinations saying that wise politicians and people’s servants should be on the ground accomplishing various development projects and not depicting their 2022 political ambitions.

ODM leaders among them Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Msambweni Legislature Suleiman Dori openly declared their support for Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 Presidential race.
