Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has cautioned Kenyans against political gimmicks currently witnessed in the country.
Mutua said politicians are using pathetic gimmicks and lies to ensure they enrich themselves at the expense of the lives of Kenyans.
He urged Kenyans to read and analyse the Building Bridges Initiative –BBI report before making any more mistakes in their lives.
According to the 2022 Presidential hopeful, the document despite depicted as the Kenyans problem solver it does not clearly indicating how the problems will be solved.
According to Mutua, Kenyans lives have been for so long subjected to poor leadership and the time to end such sorry state is now.
“Our leaders are not openly telling us how they will solve our problems. For years, our problems have been poverty and poor leadership,” revealed the Machakos Governor.
Mutua said if the March, 2018 ‘handshake’ was genuine then it should fully incorporate Deputy President William Ruto.
“At first, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto told us that they are going to unite the country through Jubilee Party. That badly crumbled,” he added.
He urged Kenyans to be extremely vigilant and enact the badly needed leadership changes that will only focus on their lives.
He thrashed the BBI report, saying it will not solve any problems in the country but enrich few individuals.
Mutua urged Kenyans to walk out of their comfort zones and stop being taken for a ride.
“We are like those people who drink dirty water then go to a dispensary to look for treatment, when we get healed we go back and take the same dirty water,” charged Mr. Mutua.
The BBI initiative has elicited mixed reactions with political divisions openly witnessed in the country.
