NARC Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has defended her decision to join the Azimio la Umoja Movement led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Karua announced that she will back the Azimio Movement candidate and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

He said both sides of the leading political camps Azimio and Kenya Kwanza have people with a tainted past.

Meanwhile, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga has described NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua as a ‘General in the struggle’ with the scars to prove it.

Speaking as he received her into the Azimio La Umoja Movement on Wednesday, Odinga stated that Karua wears the marks of the struggle.

Raila praised even as he welcomed her into the Azimio a Umoja Movement.

Speaking during a press conference with Karua on Wednesday, Odinga described her a resilient individual whom they can fully rely on.

Karua said she had found a ‘critical mass of good people’ notwithstanding their shortcomings.

She said all sides have people who have looted in the past and who do not respect the rule of law, adding that she joined Azimio after a careful consideration.

She vowed to strive in popularizing Azimio La Umoja and Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

Meanwhile, Raila says he will ensure Karua gets a number to play and benefits from his government.
