During the forum, Khamisi Mwaguya was nominated to contend for the Mombasa Senate post and Fatma Barayan as the Women Representative contestant.

The parliamentary slots will be filled by Mohamed Ali (Nyali), Mbarak Hamid (Kisauni), Karisa Nzai (Jomvu), Isaac Malilah (Changamwe), Omar Shallo (Mvita) and Mohamed Mwahima (Likoni).

This means that there will be no party primaries in those areas where the aspirants have been issued with certificates.

The party launched is nominations on Thursday, 14, 2022 across the country with over 8 million party members expected to participate in the UDA primaries to nominate a total of 981 candidates in various elective posts.
