Wetangula ousted as Ford-Kenya party leader

Ford-Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has been ousted.

The Bungoma Senator was removed as the Political party leader by some members led by Kimilili Member of Parliament Eseli Simiyu.

Simiyu together with other members among them Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi cited gross misconduct as the main reason for Wetangula’s removal.

The leaders blamed Wetangula for not paying attention to the party matters and advancing other political party matters.

However Wetangula has blamed Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati for his tribulations.

Wetangula who has been recently seen away from the Western politics says he is still the party leader.

He revealed that some of the party members are being used to political battle him.

However, Wetangula says he will stand by what is right and will not allow any outsiders to bring the old political party down.

Some analysts are linking the Ford-Kenya political wrangles to the ‘Handshake’ politics where those objecting to the Western unity are being punished.

Recently, Wetangula and Amani National Congress-ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi snubbed a meeting converged by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli at his Kajiado home.

According to Atwoli, the meeting aimed at uniting Luhya leaders so that they speak with the same voice and have political bargaining power specifically in national politics.

However, Wetangula with his supporters seem to be against Atwoli’s agenda of supporting the Building Bridges Initiative-BBI.

Recently, NASA leaders have been removing Ford-Kenya party members in critical house committees.

The Western political temperatures have been rising day by day, with politicians blaming Atwoli for the political in fight in the region.
