Vocal woman activist cum politician Sharlet Mariam has vowed to launch a mammoth campaign to clinch the Msambweni Parliamentary seat.

Akinyi who  already tendered her resignation letter as the National Construction Authority Corporate Communication officer 1 said she is ready to battle whoever will be her opponent in the August 9, Msambweni Parliamentary race.

According to Mariam, its only women not only in Kwale but the entire country who will salvage this nation and serve all Kenyans indiscriminately.

She said Msambweni residents will not regret electing her since she clearly understand their needs and she will be at their service.

Earlier Mariam had expressed interest in the December, 15, 2020 Msambweni by-election where Faisal Bader clinched the seat after the death of Suleiman Dori.

However, Mariam veered off the Msambweni Parliamentary seat race to pave way for Omar Boga who was also battling for the seat and both were from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

However, Boga was floored by Bader, a man who worked as the Msambweni NG-CDF manager.

“I made my firm decision long ago and I will remain focused on my set goal of clinching the Msambweni Parliamentary seat come August, 9 during the general elections,” said Ms Mariam.

The determined, vocal female politician has announced a major launch of her campaign launch on February, 23 in readiness for the tough battle.

She exuded hopes that she will floor her opponents among them the current MP Feisal Bader who will be defending his seat.

Mariam has extended an appeal to Msambweni residents being the elders and the youthful generation to back her bid for the parliamentary seat.

“Women and youth empowerment, education for both girl and boy child, vocational training programs for our youth, gender and human rights and basic and social amenities for all are just but part of what my manifesto consists of,” revealed Ms Mariam.
