President William Ruto met up with Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir during his Coastal tour that kicked off on Friday.
The two leaders discussed in-depth on development of Mombasa County and revamping the county’s economy.
President Ruto vowed to support Nassir’s development agenda for the benefit of Mombasa residents.
Nassir has been at the top of Mombasa economic debate and during his political campaigns where he vowed to revamp the dwindling Mombasa economic status.
Barely a week ago, Nyali member of Parliament Mohammed Ali backed Nassir efforts in ensuring the Mombasa County government serves all diligently, and he later met up with Nassir, promising to pull the national government to Mombasa, in a bid to ensure Mombasa residents benefit economically.
President Ruto and Mombasa governor, Nassir meeting kicks off a cordial working relation between Mombasa County government and the National government that Mombasa residents never enjoyed before.
Nassir had vowed to closely work with the National government so that Mombasa reaps more national projects.
