Renowned author Ken Walibora Waliaula is dead.
The media fraternity woke up to the sad news on Wednesday morning after his remains were traced at the Kenyatta National hospital morgue.
He is said to have been knocked down by a matatu on Ladhies road in Nairobi on Friday.
Earlier reports indicated that Walibora was crossing the road holding his car keys and a press card before the accident.
He died on the spot.
His family has been searching for him since Friday as he could not be reached through his mobile phone.
Walibora a renowned, witty author is well known for his Swahili book ‘Siku Njema’ published in 1996.
He is among the pioneers of the NatIon Media group owned Swahili TV channel QTV.
Among those who sent their early condolences are renowned Swahili legendary novelist Wallah Bin Wallah, Munene Nyaga, a veteran poet and former Kwale based Radio kaya presenter Omar Mwagao, Radio kaya’s Presenter Nassir Maulid among others.
At first the news of his death was said to be fake but later it was confirmed and broke on local maid stream media countrywide.
