Several passengers were on Sunday morning seriously injured after they were involved in a road accident along the Garissa-Nairobi highway.
The Alpha Bus Company owned vehicle overturned at Kabat area between Kasteni and Nguni area just passed Mwingi.
According to some of the survivors, the driver was over speeding and the vehicle veered off the road injuring most of the passengers.
In various videos circulating the social media passengers were seen bleeding profusely at the scene of the accident without any emergency response.
“There are no ambulances here, so we are only depending on Good Samaritans driving to Nairobi to help us,” said one of the injured passengers.
Some of the passengers suffered broken limbs.
By 11 am, not even a police officer or any form of emergency response had reached the scene.
The KCZ 101P Alpha Bus had its one side completely shuttered.
