Din and Munyi rule Roland House Charity Golf tournament in Mombasa

Nyali Golf and Country Club Captain Zafir Din proved his skills after beating a team of 162 golfers to emerge the overall winner of the beats during the 2022 Roland House Charity Golf tournament played at the par 71 Club course in Mombasa County.

Playing off handicap 26, Din who is the Club Captain carded an excellent 45 stable ford points to emerge the overall winner in the daylong 18 holes tourney that brought golfers from the home club, Sea-Link Mombasa, Leisure, Vipingo, Malindi, Guests and Friends of the Captain with valid handicaps.

Handicap 16 Simon Karemu was the Men winner on 43 points while handicap 17 Ian Marshall claimed the runners-up slot on a countback score of 42 points after tying on the same score with third-placed handicap 11 Martin Ombura.

Caroline Munyi playing off handicap 35 was the Lady winner on 41 points and Mary Mariga playing off handicap 16 brought 39 points to take the runners-up slot.

The Best senior prize was won by handicap 16 Heinz Breitner on 39 points and handicap 42 Shay Chauhan won the junior prize with 44 points.

The guest winner on 37 points was Isaack Kimani while Dr.Dinesh Soni playing off handicap 38 claimed the High handicapper’s prize.

The group of Dhodia Rishi, Dhodia Sheel, Chauhan Shay and Chauhan Kailesh brought a combined score of 150 points to emerge the Team winners.

Abdala Taib was the lucky man after winning a Return flight from Mombasa to Dubai in a winning raffle ticket no.00624.
