

Kenyan boxers scooped four gold and two silver medals in the last session of the Zone 3 finals at the Studio Maman Angebi Hall in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) capital, Kinshasa on Saturday, April, 9.
Stylish featherweight Samuel Njau, bantam Shaffi Bakari, light-heavy Liz Andiego and welter Everline Akinyi won gold medals with lightweight Stacy Ayoma and light-middle Lorna Kusa bagging silver medals to put the icing on the cake following a lackluster start in the seven-nation event.
It was a great harvesting day for Kenyans as they finished the battle with a total of six gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
The other two gold came from flyweight David “Sanchez” Karanja and light-welter Teresia Wanjiru with middleweight Elizabeth Akinyi and light-welter Victor Odhiambo winning silver.

Light-middle Boniface Mugunde and super-heavyweight Elly Ajowi bagged two bronze medals.
