The national women’s volleyball team Malkia Strikers suffered another set back after losing to Brazil in their fourth match at the FIVB World Championship Group D match staged at the Hamamatsu Indoor Arena in Japan on Wednesday.
This is the third straight defeat for the Strikers, leaving them with a must win tie on Thursday when they take on The Dominican Republic in their final group match if their dream of making it into the second round is to remain alive.
Malkia lost in scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-16.
The National women volleyball team started off their campaign on a high gear thrashing Kazakhstan only to fall short losing to Serbia, Puerto Rico and now Brazil.
Malkia strikers booked their ticket for the championship after finishing second behind Cameroon during the African cup qualifier matches in the capital Yaounde.
