Central Organisation for Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has ruled out any possibilities of the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto becoming the president in 2022.
According to Atwoli, Ruto has created a barrier between himself and his Boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta thus slimming his possibilities of inheriting him.
In his interview on Citizen TV’s JKL live Wednesday evening, Atwoli said though he is not sure of who will clinch the top seat, Ruto will not be the one.
“Ruto has veered off the presidential line and by demarcating himself from the president, his chances of becoming the 5th president of the republic remain minimal,” noted Atwoli.
He asked Ruto to humble himself and unite with those perceived to be his enemies so that he slowly realigns himself back to the race.
“The DP is all over and everywhere how can you become the top in the government yet you have your Boss?” he posed.
However when asked if he had any personal grudge with Ruto, Atwoli said he was only concerned on how the DP behaves.

He said he is ready to advise Ruto on how best he can woo Kenyans to support his presidential ambition.
“I do not disrespect Ruto, neither am I a personal advisor to President Uhuru Kenyatta but Ruto may only become the president after 2022 elections.
He reiterated Ruto is unfit for the top seat saying 2022 presidential race is about Kenyans and not Rift valley politics.
Jubilee political party has been axing political leaders supporting the DP’s political ambitions.
The party through its Secretary General Raphael Tuju says it is instilling discipline to defiant members.
