Student hangs himself after finishing KCSE examination

A student was on Friday afternoon found hanging in a class room after finishing his KCSE examinations.

The student hanged himself at the Allidina Visiram secondary school where he has been sitting for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examination-KCSE since the beginning of the month.

The school Principal Juma Mshimu however declined to talk about the matter but admitted that indeed the student hanged himself using a rope on the classroom ceiling.

His classmates however said that their colleague was to be punished from the school management after he was found with bhang, allegations that are yet to be substantiated.

Urban police OCPD Eliud Monari confirmed the incident adding that police have already launched investigations concerning the incident.

The body of the student was taken to the Coast general hospital morgue.
