The Star’s Coast Chief Correspondent exits newsroom

The Star Newspaper Coast Chief Correspondent Maureen Mudi will head the Media Council of Kenya Coast regional offices.

Ms Mudi, a seasoned Journalist has been in the industry for close to two decades now.

She worked for Coast based once pure gospel radio station Baraka FM before joining the Standard Group as Coast regional bureau reporter.

Mudi, later joined The Star Newspaper as the Coast regional Chief correspondent.

She has covered various stories related to politics, gender, children among other outstanding, well researched in-depth articles for the Star Newspaper from the Coast region.

Ms Mudi, a celebrated journalist and a media trainer will be in-charge of the media regulatory body’s new Coast regional offices.

Her colleagues in the industry have joined her in the celebrations.

Brian Otieno will take over Mudi’s place in acting capacity.

The newly MCK offices are located at the Sauti house Mombasa where also the National broadcaster KBC TV, Radio Taifa, Pwani FM and The Kenya News agency regional bureaus are located.
