Three people narrowly escaped death after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into the Indian Ocean Tuesday morning.
Kenya Ferry Services administration said the Mombasa Maize Millers fully loaded lorry was from Mombasa Island heading to the South Coast.
“The driver failed to take off on the Likoni mainland side, the lorry veered off, and plunged into the Indian ocean,” read part of the statement.
All the three were saved.
Efforts to remove the lorry from the Indian Ocean were underway for the better part of Tuesday morning.
However the situation was managed and the snarl up solved.
