The Administration officer in the 40 billion illegal firearms scandal has been found dead at his home in Nairobi.
The officer Sergeant Kipyegon Kimei was attached to the Deputy President William Ruto’s Harambee Annex office in Nairobi.
It is said that the officer never reported to work on Tuesday and Wednesday, he was on Thursday morning found at his Imara Daima’s Villa Franca home with gunshot wounds.
“His firearm was on the floor beside his body that had gunshot wounds on his neck and head,” revealed his neighbor.
The officer is among 5 other administration officers who were mandated to man the Deputy President William Ruto Harambee Annex offices.

On Thursday Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) George Kinoti visited the scene but did not reveal anything about the ongoing investigation.
The slain officer was expected to record a statement on Wednesday but never honored the summon.
The 40 billion fake firearm deal led to the arrest and detention of former Sports cabinet Rashid Echesa.
Investigations are still underway with the Deputy President calling for a quick probe into the matter.
Ruto through his Communication secretary David Mugonyi wants a quick and in depth probe over the matter.
