Likoni woman who gave birth at the Likoni ferry Channel is doing well at the Coast general referral hospital.
According to doctors, the mother and her bouncing baby boy are doing tremendously well at the Coast general referral hospital maternity wing.
The woman was rushed to the Coast largest referral hospital after she was overwhelmed with labour pains and gave birth at the Likoni mainland waiting bay.
Humanitarian organisation Kenya Red Cross officials helped the mother with her baby boy out of the crowd and took her to the hospital.
The woman admitted that her delivery days were over but she had to cross over the island for her normal activities.
Locals proposed names for the new born.
Some proposed Likoni, Corona, Taabu, Victor, Saviour among many other names.
“The beautiful baby boy should be baptized Victor,” said a local Likoni resident Michael Onyango.
