Deputy President Dr. William Ruto has come to console former National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale.
Duale was ousted as the Jubilee Party majority leader in the National Assembly.
However, Ruto encouraged Duale terming him as a tireless leader who fully executed his mandate defending the government’s agenda.
“For the last 8 years you have been the Majority leader at the National Assembly you tirelessly executed your mandate properly,” said Ruto.
The Garissa Township Member of Parliament was on Monday reaped off his majority leader post.
Duale was ousted and his place taken by Kipipiri legislature Amos Kimunya.
Duale who survived the purge two weeks ago was on Monday not rescued even by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Duale was accused of supporting DP Ruto allegedly ceasing advancing Jubilee issues.
He has been Ruto’ s close ally.
His community members led by Garissa Senator Yusuf Hajj could not save him.
Duale’s fate may have been long sealed after MP Kanini Kega moved a motion to ouster Duale.
Recently, there has been an axing of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto.
Over 16 Chairpersons and their vice Chairpersons in the National Assembly have been released of their duties.
As of now, President Uhuru has full control of both the upper house and the National Assembly.
Duale will now miss all the privileges that come with being a majority leader.
