Mombasa women Representative Asha Hussein has drummed support for Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho for the post of a powerful Prime minister position when the proposals to amend the constitution are implemented.
Ms Hussein says it is time for Coast leaders to get into the national lime light and Joho is fit t clinch such position.
She urged Coastal people to fully support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) so that when such positions are created their own leaders are considered in the top posts.
While addressing locals at Mwembe kuku in Kisauni, the Mombasa County MP said BBI is the major decision maker for the country’s direction.
“Lets support the BBI, we are all going to reap from it as Kenyans,” noted Ms. Hussein.
She said BBI will solve the gender equality issue and ensure the two-third gender rule is fully implemented.

“Forget about those opposing the BBI they want us to continue fighting as a nation, let’s fully embrace it,” she noted.
Meanwhile activists and business community under the ‘First Action Business Community’ have vowed to oppose the BBI consultative forums in Mombasa.
Led by the movement’s Organising secretary Harriet Muganda they urged locals to ignore the BBI consultative forums until the SGR 100 percent container haulage is rescinded.
