Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Saturday visited Former President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home.
Joho was welcomed by the former President’s son Gideon Moi, KANU Secretary General Nick Salat, Tiaty MP William Kamket and Silas Tiren, Moiben Member of Parliament.
Joho was accompanied By Likoni MP Mishi Mboko, Kwale women representative Zuleikha Hassan, Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire, Mombasa County Speaker Harub Khatri among other Coastal leaders.
The meeting followed a recent meeting between the Baringo Senator and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho in Mombasa and thereafter President Uhuru Kenyatta who also meet with Joho.
Though Joho and Moi held a closed door meeting, political realignment is evidently cooking between the Mombasa Governor and Gideon Moi.
The meeting seems to expand the already political gap between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
Recently the DP tirelessly camped at the Former President’s home but could not meet him despite making several attempts.
However, Joho who has met the former President twice without revealing many details of their series of meetings he later set off to Maralal to lead a fundraiser to help build ALSALAM Mosque.
The Political journey has just started but only causing more jitters to Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid since the political gab between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta widens.
