Kisauni Member of Parliament has been singled out as the right candidate to inherit Ali Hassan Joho in 2022 Mombasa gubernatorial battle.
According to Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, he will field Mbogo in the 2022 Mombasa county governorship to battle it out with other opponents.
Kalonzo said he is never disappointed with Mbogo’s leadership and being the vibrant Mombasa wiper leader he will enhance the Mombasa County development agenda.
“Since Joho will not vie for the top county seat I will ensure Mbogo clinches that top county seat,” noted Musyoka.
Musyoka urged Mombasa residents to fully back Mbogo in his ambition to clinch the top county seat in 2022 general election.
“Let Mbogo inherit Ali Hassan Joho when his two term as Mombasa Governor lapses in 2022,” noted the Wiper Party leader.
Recently Mbogo told his close opponent Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir to brace himself for a tough Mombasa county governorship battle come 2022.

“Let many who declared their interest in the Mombasa gubernatorial seat to tighten their belts since it will be a stiff competition when the time comes,” noted Mbogo.
He also urged them to get adequate education first so that they are not disqualified from vying for the county top seat.
The Kisauni MP and his Mvita counterpart are the ones who have so far openly declared their interest in the Mombasa governorship seat.
They are already working towards attaining the position.
