United Green Movement (UGM) political party wants the National Cohesion and Integration Commission-NCIC to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta in a bid to quell the political temperatures in the country.
UGM also wants the commission to meet Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga in a bid to cement the political hatred experienced in this country.
UGM Secretary General Khamisa Maalim Zajja said the Commission should not remain mum as the three leaders are politically dividing the country.
She asked NCIC Chairperson Dr. Samuel Kobia to meet the three principles so that together they deliberate on national unity.
According to Zajja, the country is politically divided and shaken, a situation that can only be contained by cooling down the political bickering in the country.
She said the country is torn, adding that it will be a tough exercise to amend and unite a divided nation.
“The commission should not sluggishly handle the matter but swing into action and meet all the top political leaders who are bickering and inciting Kenyans,” noted the global peace ambassador
Zajja said the political hatred witnessed in the country signals more divisions among Kenyans as the nation heads to the 2022 general polls.
She appealed to Kenyans not to be swayed to the wrong directions by politicians but instead maintain peace and embrace unity and cohesion among themselves.
Tangatanga versus Kieleweke
Already the country has witnessed heated exchange between the Tangatanga political team led by politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto and the Kieleweke team allied to ODM leader Raila Odinga.

However, Kobia says the commission is very alert and will pursue any politician who will propagate political intolerance, hatred and who will incite Kenyans.
He said the Commission will employ all relevant measures and avenues to tame the slowly growing political intolerance among politicians and their supporters.
