Deputy President Dr. William Ruto scoffed at Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i over his recent remarks on who is the head of the government.
Ruto said no Cabinet Secretary should indulge in politics and Matiang’i’s remarks that team ‘Tanga tanga’ should fully recognise President Uhuru Kenyatta as the government leader were reckless.
The DP said such abusive politics should not be condoned.
“We are all employed by the same Jubilee government, why abuse us?” posed the DP.
On Saturday, Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i told off Ruto’s ‘Tanga Tanga’ team on the country’s leadership.
“We only recognise President Uhuru as the Head of state, since when is a family led by two fathers?” posed Matiang’i.
His sentiments seem to have annoyed Ruto’s camp that warned the CS against chest thumping and pride.
