Wiper Democratic Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to strongly challenge ODM candidate in the forthcoming Msambweni By-election.
According to Kalonzo, Wiper party has a strong candidate for the Parliamentary seat.
He said the party will not back down in favour of any candidate for the Msambweni race.
Speaking after he handed over nomination certificate to Wiper candidate Shee Abdulrahman and other Wiper Democratic party MCA contestants in Wundanyi/Mbale ward Taita taveta county and in Kilifi, Kalonzo said Msambweni Parliamentary seat will change the political script not only in the constituency but countrywide.
He appealed to locals to elect Shee as one of their own who will work with them at grassroots level.
He said the race will be one of its kind and Wiper party will trounce opponents.
“We are not part of those whom am told have decided to pull out of the race, we will fight to the end,” reiterated Kalonzo.
He urged locals to support Mr. Shee who aims at empowering the local community at grassroots level.
His sentiments were full backed by the Party Chairperson Chirau Ali Mwakwere.
Mwakwere said Wiper candidate is slated for a win in the by-election.
He said the party will work round the clock to ensure Shee Abdulrahman sails into leadership.
“Msambweni residents need a leader who will work with them at grassroots level and their son Shee Abdulrahman is right here,” noted Mwakwere.
The December 15 by-election at first attracted a total of 10 contestants.
However three candidates Bakari Sebe, Bashir Kilalo and Peter Nzuki have since pulled out of the race in favour of Feisal Abdallah.
Abdallah is an independent candidate and served as the Personal assistant to the late Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori.
