Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Friday airlifted ailing Conjestina Achieng’ to Nairobi for specialized treatment.
Congestina is suffering from mental related disorders caused by depression.
Sonko’s rescue team took Congestina from Kisumu home to Nairobi where she will receive specialised treatment.
She was also promised a job after recovery.
The ailing world boxing super Middle-weight champion has been in an off hospital since 2013 receiving treatment on depression related illness.
The neglected champion uplifted the little known female boxing game to international level and the public has been throwing blames to the government for forgetting the country’s champion.
Early in 2016 well wishers raised funds for her treatment, however the psychiatric condition returned to the WIBF middleweight champion.
