Former Mathare United Head coach Francis Kimanzi is set to take over control of the National football team Harambee Stars.
The Football Federation of Kenya-FKF has named Kimanzi as the National soccer team Head coach who will oversee the football team to greater heights in a duration of two years.
Kimanzi hanged the boots as Mathare United Football Club Head coach in July, 2019.
Kimanzi who has been with Mathare United for years, takes over Harambee Stars in hardships after a dismal performance at the recently concluded African Cup of Nation- AFCON in Egypt where the former Head coach Sebastian Migne would later be shown the door.
Harambee stars was also bundled out of the African Nation Championships qualifying matches scheduled for 2021 in Cameroon.
Barely two days ago, Migne was fired by FKF where FKF President promised Kenyans new Harambee Stars Head Coach within 24 hours.

The former Mathare United FC coach took the club to finish at position six in the Kenya Premier league – KPL 2018/2019 season.
Kimanzi together with his Deputy Zedekia Otieno will be officially unveiled on Friday.
The two will be mandated to employ different, unique, tough, practicable tactics in a bid to change the soccer script in Kenya.
